Abstract: Based on comprehensive information published on Neuropterida in the Iberian Peninsula and new unpublished data now annotated (95 species), a comparative study is presented, indicating the annual range of activity of imagos and the potential number of generations of the different species (206) present and confirmed in this territory. The Iberian Peninsula, due to its geographical position, extension, and varied orography and climatology, as well as the great diversity of the media existing in it, offers a great diversity and richness of fauna in the groups being treated, and we will find a great variety of types and adaptations of the different species to one and other, generating a great diversity in their phenologies and voltinisms. Many species of Hemerobiidae, Chrysopidae, and Coniopterygidae present activity, either throughout the year (8 species) or almost throughout the year (13 species), especially in warmer and Mediterranean climate areas, presenting multivoltine cycles with a potential succession of generations. On the other hand, other species, either by their adaptations to mountainous or extremely xeric environments (Dilaridae, Hemerobiidae, Chrysopidae, and Coniopterygidae) possess monovoltine phenologies, or by their long larval development periods offer semivoltine cycles and a single annual generation (Sialidae, Raphidiidae, Inocelliidae, Osmylidae, Myrmeleontidae, Ascalaphidae, Nemopteridae, Crocidae), and in both cases present a more reduced diversity of types and adaptations.
